My name is Kimberly Beeson. I was born on Coronado Island in California, USA. Maybe my birth surrounded by water explains my relationship with water. Water has connected me to the Earth, continues to make me feel safe and calms me. Most of my childhood memories involve water. Swimming in the Pacific Ocean, building sand castles and watching them melt away under the gentle force of the waves. Discovering underwater hide-outs in lakes and exploring creeks, leaping from rock to rock. No matter how many times I moved as a child, the four walls always shifting and changing, there was always water flowing nearby to soothe and comfort me. Under quiet waters I found peace from my chaotic and unpredictable life.
